Ingredients - 12-16 cookies
- 1½ sticks of unsalted creamery butter
- ½ cup plus 2 tbsp sugar
- 1½ tsp of vanilla extract
- 1¾ cups of all-purpose flour
- 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate pieces
Preheat oven to 350 F.
Butter one 9 inch square, oven-proof glass baking dish.
Beat butter and sugar in large bowl until fluffy.
Beat in vanilla.
Stir until blended.
Mix in chocolate chips.
Press dough evenly into pan, smoothing it completely.
Bake 25-30 minutes in oven until golden.
Remove from oven and cool.
Cut into 12-16 squares and keep in an air tight container to stay fresh.
